Laying the foundation stone for Mayo Renewable Power

On 5th October 2015 An Taoisech, Enda Kenny, TD, formally laid the foundation stone of the Mayo Renewable Power plant.

On 5th October 2015 An Taoisech, Enda Kenny, TD, formally laid the foundation stone of the Mayo Renewable Power plant.

Accompanied by Gearld Crotty, Chairman, Mayo Renewable Power, Pat Gilroy, Country Director, Veolia Ireland and other dignitaries An Taoiseach said that the Mayo Renewable Power plant is an important piece of a larger jigsaw in creating the right conditions for economic growth.

The laying of the foundation stone marks a significant milestone in this €180 million project which will deliver enough renewable energy to sustainably power the equivalent of 68,000 homes from mid 2017.
