Second Low Carbon Pledge report launched

Veolia is proud to be a signatory of the Low Carbon Pledge powered by Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI), the leading advisers on sustainability.

The goal of the Pledge is to reduce our emissions intensity by 50% by 2030. As part of the Pledge:

  • We measure and report on our direct emissions on a yearly basis
  • We collaborate and share knowledge with over 50 other companies
  • We continue to increase our ambitions as we work towards better understanding our indirect emissions.

These actions will help us significantly speed up the process in transitioning to a low carbon future.

As part of the Low Carbon Pledge campaign today we are sharing the focus and environmental expertise we bring to the benefit of our customers every day. Turning this focus to our own resource efficiency, as well as to our fuel use and business travel practices, we have already achieved a great deal and are laying sustainable foundations to achieve a lot more in the years ahead.

The second progress report has been published today detailing the collective progress of all 58 companies who signed the Pledge and committed to reducing carbon emissions.

We are proud to be part of this collective movement playing a role in restarting the economy in a purpose-driven and fair way
