Celebrating Bastille Day and Sustainability

Veolia joins other French companies in Ireland to showcase sustainability as part of the Bastille Day celebrations

Veolia was delighted to join HE Vincent Guérend, the French Ambassador to Ireland, and over 1000 guests from a variety of organisations to celebrate Bastille Day. Guests included Eamon Ryan, TD, Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications and Councillor Daithí de Róiste, Lord Mayor of Dublin.

This year's event had a strong focus on sustainability with French companies in Ireland showcasing to guests what is being done to make our society more sustainable. Companies at the event included pharmaceutical company Servier, energy company EDF and IT consultants Sia Partners along with well known consumer brands such as Danone, Pernod Ricard, Occitane and Decathlon.

Our team in Ireland helps our customers to meet their own carbon reduction and environmental goals through our energy, water and waste services. At the Bastille Day event we used VR headsets to demonstrate how Veolia is delivering innovative solutions to deal with the challenges of climate change.
