Veolia is proud to support the IrDEA Annual Conference 2026
We're happy to share that we're once again sponsoring the Irish District Energy Association (IrDEA) Annual Conference, supporting Ireland's transformation to low carbon heat.
This year's conference takes place on 30 September 2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8. Our support as a sponsor reflects our ongoing commitment to Ireland's district energy sector and the people driving it forward. At the conference we will be sharing examples from across Europe on how district heating networks can be successfully delivered.
District heating has the potential to play an important role in Ireland's journey toward decarbonisation. It's a practical, proven way to deliver low carbon heat at scale - and one where Veolia brings real, hands-on expertise.
Supporting IrDEA is part of a bigger commitment: our purpose of ecological transformation. That means finding practical ways to reconcile progress with protecting the planet by deploying local solutions to decarbonise, regenerate resources, and depollute.
Will we see you there? Let's connect and talk about how we can shape Ireland's low carbon heat future together.

Local loops of energy, built for Ireland
At Veolia, we design, build, operate and maintain heating and cooling networks — managing energy supply and delivering reliable services to the people and communities who depend on them. We call this approach "local loops of energy": tailored energy solutions built around what each region has to offer.
That can mean recovering waste heat from industrial processes, using cogeneration to generate heat and power together more efficiently, tapping into geothermal energy, or integrating renewables. Cogeneration alone can deliver energy savings of up to 10% compared to producing heat and power separately, while reducing network losses by up to 7%. These aren't abstract numbers. They're real gains in resilience, energy independence, and affordability for the communities these networks serve.
